Walk for Healing Hearts

The annual Walk for Healing Hearts is a fun public event that brings together IHH families, their loved ones, and the public to raise money and awareness for congenital heart defects and childhood onset heart disease, and to walk in honor of our Heart Heroes. Food, silent auction, and Angel Ceremony butterfly release are also traditionally part of the day.

Intermountain Healing Hearts relies on fundraisers like this to be able to have activities such as our birthday party and Heart to Heart, as well as fund our grant program.

Please invite your family and friends to participate in this fun event!

Please feel free to contact info@ihhearts.org with any questions.

Past Walk for Healing Hearts Events

These are the activities IHH has done in past years for our Walk for Healing Hearts Events.

2022

Our walk returned to in person at Flat Iron Mesa Park in Sandy. The theme was a Superhero Walk for Healing Hearts: There is a hero in all of us! Some attendees even dressed up or wore a cape!

The event also included a silent auction, kids carnival games, and an angel remembrance ceremony with a live butterfly release.

2021

On September 18th 2021 we held a virtual heart walk. The 2021 Walk for Healing Hearts was similar to 2020 --a little different! We held a virtual walk in order to protect families against Covid-19. Participants ordered shirts, on a specified day went on a walk in their neighborhoods, and then posted pictures of themselves walking in their shirts to social media. It was a great opportunity to join together in a socially-distanced manner, and we loved seeing everyone's images fill our feeds!

2020

The 2020 Walk for Healing Hearts was just like everything else in 2020--a little different! Click here to see our slideshow of 2020 Walk pictures!

2019

The walk in 2019 was held at Flat Iron Mesa Park. We had a great breakfast, activities, silent auction and we honored our heart angels and celebrated our heroes. A big thanks to all our volunteers for making the day such a success!

2018

The walk in 2018 returned to Riverton City Park where we had TeePee Photo Booth, JubJub the Clown, and carnival games for the kids. We had a great silent auction and we honored our heart angels and celebrated our heroes. A big thanks to all our volunteers for making the day such a success!

2017

2017’s walk was at Riverton City Park which is a beautiful open space that features many playgrounds and a very nice concrete walking path. There were appearances by 501st Legion characters and Kids Heroes. The event ended with a butterfly release angel ceremony where our families honored their heart angels.
