Walk/5k for Healing Hearts
The Walk for Healing Hearts brings together IHH families and their loved ones to raise money and awareness for congenital heart defects and walk in honor of our Heart Heroes. A lunch, silent auction, and butterfly release Angel Ceremony are also traditionally part of the day.
Previous year's walks have been amazing!!!
The walk in 2018 returned to Riverton City park where we had photo booths and games for the kids. We honored our heart angels and celebrated our heroes. A big thanks to all our volunteers for making the day such a success!
2017’s walk is at Riverton City Park which is a beautiful open space that features many playgrounds and a very nice concrete walking path. There were appearances by 501st Legion characters and Kids Heroes. The event ended with a butterfly release angel ceremony where our families honored their heart angels.
2016's walk for Intermountain Healing Hearts was special. We coordinated with a great partner, Geek'd Out Events, to have more impact. The event was held at West Jordan Veterans Memorial park. Each registered participant received a special t-shirt. The Geek'd Out Events 5K was called The Potter Run and they had around 800+ runners come out in costume to race for a great cause. This year we were that cause.
