Walk for Healing Hearts

The Walk for Healing Hearts is a fun public event that brings together IHH families, their loved ones, and the public to raise money and awareness for congenital heart defects and childhood onset heart disease, and to walk in honor of our Heart Heroes. Food, silent auction, and Angel Ceremony butterfly release are also traditionally part of the day.

Intermountain Healing Hearts relies on fundraisers like this to be able to have activities such as our birthday party and Heart to Heart, as well as fund our grant program.

Virtual Walk for Healing Hearts 2020

We are pleased to announce that IHH will be having a Virtual Walk for Healing Hearts on Saturday, October 3, 2020!

Due to Covid-19, gathering restrictions, and our group's especially vulnerable population, Intermountain Healing Hearts has not been able to hold our regularly scheduled events and activities for 2020, including our annual in-person Walk for Healing Hearts fundraising event. The Walk is especially meaningful as it is an opportunity for our heart families to gather with family, friends, medical staff, and community members to raise awareness and financial support for the more than 1400 families IHH serves. In an effort to continue the tradition and provide support for our local heart families, the IHH 2020 Walk for Healing Hearts will be a virtual event held Saturday, October 3, 2020.

To participate and show your support, please visit http://www.men-saw-hey.com/ to order your walk shirt.

Orders will close on Wednesday, September 9th to allow time for shipping before the event. Shirt sizes are available from 2T-4XL.
*A huge thank you from IHH to group member Andee Sanders from Men Saw Hey Shirt Co. for taking care of the Walk shirt artwork & orders!
On October 3rd, wear your shirts and go for a walk with your family! Please take photos and email to misty@ihhearts.org for a special slideshow we will be compiling (emailing in a photo gives IHH permission to use the photo online). The benefit of the event being virtual is that if that Saturday date doesn’t work with your schedule but you still want to support this amazing group, walk another day and still send in photos! :) We would love for you to share on social media and tag IHH.

This will be our only fundraiser, so please share the shirt ordering details with your friends, family, coworkers, neighbors or anyone else and encourage them to participate in our Virtual Walk!

If you or someone you know would like to make a donation directly to IHH, you can do so by Venmo: @IHHearts, Paypal: paypal.me/ihhearts or through our website at https://www.intermountainhealinghearts.org/donation-information

Please invite your family and friends to participate in this fun event!

Please feel free to contact info@ihhearts.org with any questions.

Past Walk for Healing Hearts Events

These are the activities IHH has done in past years for our Walk for Healing Hearts Events.

2019

The walk in 2019 was held at Flat Iron Mesa Park. We had a great breakfast, activities, silent auction and we honored our heart angels and celebrated our heroes. A big thanks to all our volunteers for making the day such a success!

2018

The walk in 2018 returned to Riverton City Park where we had TeePee Photo Booth, JubJub the Clown, and carnival games for the kids. We had a great silent auction and we honored our heart angels and celebrated our heroes. A big thanks to all our volunteers for making the day such a success!

2017

2017’s walk was at Riverton City Park which is a beautiful open space that features many playgrounds and a very nice concrete walking path. There were appearances by 501st Legion characters and Kids Heroes. The event ended with a butterfly release angel ceremony where our families honored their heart angels.

2016

2016's walk for IHH was special. We coordinated with a great partner, Geek'd Out Events, to have a bigger impact on spreading CHD awareness with a 5K event. The event was held at West Jordan Veterans Memorial park. Each registered participant received a special t-shirt. The Geek'd Out Events 5K was called The Potter Run and they had around 800+ runners come out in costume to race for a great organization and cause.  This year Intermountain Healing Hearts was Geek'd Out Events organization of choice to donate to.

2015

In 2015 we had the Alpine Garrison of the 501st Legion on hand for photo-ops and Red Cross Blood Services was on hand taking blood donations. We also had other various hero characters wandering the park to take pictures with the kids.
