Heart on Your Sleeve

The Heart on Your Sleeve event is a social media campaign designed to reach people both online and offline in the hopes of raising awareness about Congenital Heart Defects and to raise funding for future research. It's easy for everyone to participate, whether they can contribute money or not.

Here's what you do:

Wear a heart on your sleeve...pinned/sticker/whatever...for one week. Try to make the heart something you can transition to your outfit each day.

Take a selfie on day one of you wearing your heart and post it to your social media (facebook, twitter, instagram, etc) with the hashtags #hearts4chd and #ihhearts. Explain in your post why you're wearing it and why you want others to do the same. Invite people to spread awareness and donate toward CHD research through Intermountain Healing Hearts. Tag five people to follow your lead. Encourage your family, friends, casual acquaintances, or even someone you just met to participate!

When you're out and about and people ask about the heart, tell them about CHD's and direct them to ihhearts.org for info about CHD awareness and how to donate toward the cause. Below you will also find fact sheets for you to print and hand out if you should choose to do so.

We'd love to see you all participating! Let's raise awareness!!! Remember to use the hashtags  #hearts4chd and #ihhearts so we can see all your lovely hearts!
Donations for CHD research can be made by sending a check to:
